Mr. Miller and his wife, Laurie Miller are the founding partners of The Miller Law Firm, PLLC.  Mr. Miller's legal career spans more than two decades, during which he has worked as an attorney in private practice, chief-of-staff to a member of Congress and as general counsel to a large inland marine towing company.  

Mr. Miller has conducted numerous trials and evidentiary hearings serving as litigation counsel in state and federal courts located in Arkansas, Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia, handling cases involving personal injuries, death, contracts, corporate governance and fiduciary duties, employment and general litigation matters.  He has also served in a general counsel role to a variety of businesses, representing inland marine towing companies, barge management companies, shipyards, marine terminals, financial institutions, engineering firms, dental and physician practices, real estate developers and a variety of insurers.  He has handled large mergers and acquisitions.  He advises client with respect to human resource issues.  He has negogiated and closed thousands of business deals invoiving vessel and commerical real estate sales, vessel charters, contracts of affreightment, fleeting and shifting agreements, syndication agreement and just about every other type of contract imaginable.      

He has been named by Law and Politics as one of Kentucky’s “Super Lawyers” in the field of Transportation-Maritime. His areas of practice include Acquisitions, Admiralty-Maritime (including Insurance, Litigation and Commercial Transactions), Business-Corporate-Commercial Transactions, Construction (both Marine and Land), Employment-Human Resources, Litigation and Real Estate Transactions.

He served in the United States Army Reserve for many years and is a member of the American Legion.   

He is a member of the McCracken County, Kentucky, Illinois, Texas and American Bar Associations, Kentucky Defense Counsel, Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute and Port of Paducah Propeller Club.  He is currently the President of the McCracken County Bar Association.

Mr. Miller and his wife, Laurie Miller, have two daughters.
